Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: June 2026
Short version: Some of the links on Appliance Research Hub are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. This is how we fund the testing instead of running banner ads or charging you to read.
How this works
Appliance Research Hub is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon.com.
When you click a "Check Price on Amazon" button (or a similar link) on this site and go on to make a purchase, Amazon pays us a small percentage of that sale. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or type the address into Amazon yourself — the commission comes out of Amazon's margin, not yours.
We may add other affiliate or partner programs as the site grows. Wherever that's the case, the same principle applies: clearly marked, no cost to you.
This doesn't change what we recommend
Our rankings and "Best" picks are based on the process described on our Review Methodology page — real Amazon review analysis, Reddit discussions, and Consumer Reports benchmarks — not on which retailer or brand pays the highest commission.
If a $35 toaster outperforms a $90 one in our testing, we say so. We don't accept payment from manufacturers to be included in a list, and no brand gets to preview, edit, or approve a review before it's published. See our Editorial Policy for more on how we keep that line firm.
Why we do this
Real testing — buying the products, using them, tracking how they hold up — costs time and money. Affiliate commissions are how this site pays for itself without turning into a wall of ads or a paywall. We'd rather tell you that plainly than pretend the links are purely altruistic.
